Streete Community Holistic Fair: We’re delighted to invite you to our free to enter event this coming Sunday from 2 Pm till 5 Pm. A welcoming event that brings together local practitioners, vendors, and teachers dedicated to supporting wellness of the mind, body, and spirit. Congratulations and well done To Remy O’Brien, Kilmore, who was recently announced as the 2025 Junior Cycle Student of the Year award winner at Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard recently, A past pupil of St. Fintan’s National School Lismacaffrey, Remy has demonstrated an outstanding work ethic which has allowed her to excel both academically and in her extra-curricular endeavors. We have no doubt that Remy will continue to shine as she completes a broad range of activities over the coming months.

This won't be just about learning blocks and strikes; it's about building awareness, assertiveness, practical skills, and confidence. Streete Vintage Club:  Appreciation Party, Streete Vintage Club are holding an appreciation party for anybody that helped them out with their events this year in Connaughtons Pub Rathowen on Sunday 26th October. So, whether you parked cars served tea, provided services, equipment, machinery, made sandwiches, donated money, baked buns, sold raffle tickets, registered vehicles. We want to see you all there. SOCIAL DANCING: A great night of dancing was held in the park last Friday night to the sounds of Pat Mulchrone, Next month we have the one and only, Liam McLaughlin from Portstewart, this is Liam’s first time to Streete, and I promise it won’t be his last. Liam has entertained social dancers north of the border for many years and will take to the stage on October 31st for one night only for your enjoyment in Streete Parish Park. So, remember to tell all your dancing fans. Friday September 26th. Doors open from 9.00 till Late. Admission only €10

Active Retirement: I’m getting great feedback fromthe Live longer and prosper program on Thursdays in Multyfarnham Community Centre, this is great news for our over 50’s and retired people who found great relief from Chair exercise etc. I hope this will continue and we can look forward to the program returning to Streete in the future.

Gym Teacher: Paddy Cheevers, will start Spin classes in Streete Parish Park Saturday morning at 9.30. For all levels of fitness. Very enjoyable, and a great way to keep fit.  All you need is a towel and water and it's 10 euro. If anyone interested in a circuit class straight after, from 10.15 to 11am or if anyone knows of teams who would like to do a spin or even a teenage spin we could get that going one of the evenings if there is enough interest. Community Employment, Streete Parish Park: We are asking anyone who is in receipt of welfare or farm income support to consider joining our community employment team. No qualifications are needed but opportunities are available for you to upskill and work whilst keeping your present benefits and receiving an extra payment. All is asked is that you contribute 19.5 hours flexible per week while enjoying a social and friendly environment with like-minded people. Yoga: Class every Wednesday morning by professional mentor Catherine Pacini 9 Am till 10, If you haven’t been to her classes maybe now is a good time to join. Call in for details.

Pickleball: Pickleball has now returned in the community centre, on Monday mornings and is doing very well, why not come along and take part in this easy to play game in great company. 9.30 till 10.30 Am.

Boherquill Ramblers: The sun was shining from an almost clear blue sky for most of the Ramblers walk along the Royal Canal west from Churchtown near Ballynacargy on Sunday 21 September 2025. They started their walk at Kelly’s Bridge and continued beyond Ledwith’s Bridge where autumnal colours were creeping in over Ballymaglavey Bog. Next was Bog Bridge, set in the middle of the bog with no road connection now, but its’ stone structure still as attractive as all the other original bridges on the canal. Some members continued walking further towards Quinn’s Bridge, not far from Abbeyshrule, before turning back. Thank you to Nini and Patricia who checked out this quiet countryside walk beforehand. It was perfect walking for such a fine day The Ramblers will have an early start for their walk on Sunday 5 October 2025 when they will walk at the Bohernabreena Reservoirs near Tallaght. A bus will leave the car park beside the Fire Station in Mullingar at 10am sharp.  The bus fare of €20 will include tea or coffee and a scone at the Thomas Davis GAA Club before the walk; please bring a packed lunch if required. GYM: Membership includes induction course, access fob and use of the walking track.
