Streete Parish Park AGM: We are asking if anyone who has recently come to live in our community or is not already bought a share in our community centre to come forward and fill out a Shareholder application. All applications must be with us by this coming Friday 29th February. Shares are only €100 and allows each household to have a voice and enables you to vote at our AGM’s. This is a very important AGM. New committee members are required to fill outgoing positions and bring new life onto the committee. Only shareholders can fill places on the incoming committee, and as all committee members have served their full term it is not possible for any member to remain on in their current position. The first motion of business on the night will be to amend our constitution to allow for new shareholders to become eligible to be voted onto the committee, I ask that shareholders on the night, ratify this so official changes can be made and outgoing members who want to remain can also retain office if so elected. The parish Park is run by a volunteer led committee who give up their time so freely daily, weekly, monthly all year round. As outgoing Chairman, I would like to sincerely thank all who have served with me and who were on hand to help and support me along the way. I ask that you study the great work that has been achieved over the past 3 years, especially the Oskars which brought our community closer together and raised so much money which will be focused on future development. In the words of one of our great politicians. A lot done and more to do. This great work needs to be continued and the future of our community centre rests in the hands of a dedicated committee who can work together and continue to develop the dream. We hope to have a rough drawn of the future plans of how our centre and its parklands will look like in the future on the night. These plans are a master plan where Grants and future development funds can be applied for over the next number of years, or decades and by future generations. To continue this work, I am asking that the constitution be amended so that new members can be brought on. I also ask that you reelect myself for another term as chairman to continue this wonderful work and lead the incoming members in a forward direction and continue to keep the future of our community centre in a thriving, inclusive and sustainable way where people of all ages, race, religion can come together and enjoy. Thank you. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this in any way, please call me in confidence. Kevin 087 1375222 Please note, our AGM will take place on Sunday 2nd of March.
