Streete Wildlife Club
The club held its 48th AGM on Friday night last 10th April. The club annual mass was held in St Mary's Boherquill before AGM. Delegates Brendan Mulligan and Joe Coyle.
Boherquill Ramblers
The Ramblers met in Castlepollard on Sunday 12 April 2026 for a walk out from the town to Cloonteen where a row of old estate workers’ houses looks across the fields to the back entrance of Tullynally Castle Estate. The weather remained dry for the duration of the walk along quiet side roads. On Sunday 26 April 2026 the Ramblers will meet at 2pm at the Park Hotel in Mullingar for a walk along the High Bank beside the Royal Canal. This is a 9 km walk with a 6 km option. Coolamber ICA Guild
The Irish Countrywomen’s Association. The ICA ladies meet up on the first Tuesday of every month in Streete Parish Park at 19:00 (7 PM), new members are always welcome to attend for more info call Sinead Butler on (087) 996 8138.

Community Upset
After 20 years of loyal trusted and committed service to our community, the sad news rang out this week of the closure of Coole surgery. We believe the cost of rent among other matters have forced the hand of the practice to move to a new location. The new surgery will open on Monday 26th April, in the former little friends Montessori School, on the Delvin Rd Castlepollard. We wish Dr Yasin and his team the very best in his new practice and hope the inconvenience of the move will be understood by his patients.

Gym Membership Update
Thank you to everyone who joined our gym last year. We appreciate your continued support. Many memberships are now due for renewal, we thank those who have already renewed. Our new online payment system is currently being finalised on our website and will be available soon. In the meantime, memberships can still be renewed by cash or cheque or directly into our bank. A renewal reminder will be sent shortly. Thank you again for being part of our community gym. We hope you are enjoying the facilities, and we always welcome your feedback on future improvements, areas for development, or recommendations for prospective new members. Social Dance
Next Friday we have more live entertainment Kieran Donohue and Break Free, from Galway. A very popular band in the west of the country. So, tell all your dancing friends Streete Parish Park is the place to be on Friday night 24th of April. Doors open at 21:00 (9 PM), raffle and supper served all for only €10.
Bloom
Ireland's largest gardening festival of flowers, food and family fun is on this coming June bank holiday weekend. Music Bingo Night

Yoga Classes

Pickleball
Pickleball, is on every Monday mornings and is doing very well, why not come along and take part in this easy to play game in great company. 10:00 AM till 11.30 AM.

Deepest Sympathies To Butler Family
Deepest sympathies are expressed to the Butler family Carrick, Finea, and formerly of Ballycomoyle, Castlepollard on the sad passing of Edward (Ned) Butler; peacefully, in the loving care of his family. Ned was a regular in the parish meeting friends in his younger days and a great supporter of our vintage show over the years. May his Gentle soul rest in peace.
