Streete Parish Park Community Centre: We are delighted to receive notification from Westmeath County Council that we had been successful in our application for funding under strand 1 of the Community Climate Action Programme. The grant for €18.000 will go towards the installation of solar panels which will soon be installed on the roof of the community centre in a south facing position. These panels will generate an annual yield of electricity which will be fed into the grid providing an energy credit delivering savings on energy costs which will hugh benefit the Community Centre for years to come. This project while addressing the theme of solar energy is only one which is planned to addressee the community centers, energy upgrades and environmental changes required in the coming years. If you have any questions, please call Kevin 087 1375222
