A friendly reminder: Our first, “Irish tea party “will take place this coming Saturday 11th of October at 8pm, A great night is promised with friends, family, and neighbours, in Streete Parish Community Centre. Booking is essential, tables will be dressed in a cloth, milk, sugar, cutlery, napkins and if you’re lucky, flowers too, tea and coffee will be supplied. you are welcome to bring along your own China sets as we are limited to fancy stuff in the park. Holistic Fair: There was a wonderful turnout at last Sunday’s Holistic Fair, and it was fantastic to see just how many local services we have right here in our community. It’s clear that more and more people are realising that conventional medicine is not the only path to wellbeing. The holistic approach to health nurturing mind, body, and soul gave visitors a real opportunity to connect with professional practitioners in their chosen fields. A special word of thanks goes to Denise Tighe, whose dedication and hard work were key to making the event such a success. Sincere thanks also to everyone who helped out in any way or sponsored prizes for the day. We look forward to adding this event to our annual community calendar and seeing it grow year after year.

Halloween kids party: Lisryan tidy towns annual Halloween party will take place in Murphy’s Crossroads Inn Lisryan on Monday 27th October, Carved pumpkin competition with a secret judge. 2nd Annual Heaney Boy Pool Tournament: Takes place in the ’98 Bar, Ballinamuck on Sunday 26th October 2025. Registration starts at 2:30pm and draw is @ 3pm. €20 for adults & €10 for Juniors (13 & Under). Two tournament tables. Gym Teacher: Paddy Cheevers, will start Spin classes in Streete Parish Park Saturday morning at 9.30. For all levels of fitness. Very enjoyable, and a great way to keep fit. All you need is a towel and water and it's 10 euro. Boherquill Ramblers: The route of the Ramblers walk near Castlepollard on Sunday 28 September 2025 was a 10km loop passing through the hilly country near Whitehall, with views of Knockeyon and Bishop’s Lough along the way. The weather was kind to the walkers for the afternoon with sunshine and little wind. Thank you to Ann Maxwell who organized the walk and provided the tasty sandwiches afterwards. On Sunday 12 October 2025 the Ramblers will meet at 2pm at Kilbixy for a 7km forest trail and road walk. See boherquillramblers.ie for more information.
