Thank you: I am truly humbled and incredibly grateful to have my name put forward and nominated for a Westmeath County Council, Cathaoirleach Awards held in Belvedere house on Friday night last. This prestigious award and the recognition it brings, means more to me than words can express. I feel it's a real honor to stand alongside so many inspiring individuals who give their time and talents so selflessly to their communities. While this Award feels like a personal milestone, it really belongs to all of us. Every hour you’ve volunteered, every resource you’ve shared, and every donation you’ve made has brought us closer to the positive changes we strive to achieve. This achievement reflects our collective passion, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to helping those in our community.
I would like to thank the committee for putting my name forward and to everyone for your kind words, comments, and messages of support received, especially messages from people abroad and the many after drinks among friends in Lisryan. I will cherish this award and place it alongside two other inspiring recipients from our parish, the late Luke Kiernan and Brian Nerney who also made great contributions to our community. The very fact of being thought so highly of by you gives me encouragement and strength to carry on volunteering in our community even on challenging days. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being part of this journey. Your kindness fuels my Passion for the community I live in, and your friendship keeps me focused on building a welcoming place where we feel safe and one, we can move forward united in our efforts. Together there’s nothing we cannot achieve. Thank you again, Kevin Brady.
