Congratulations: Best wishes and happy retirement to Lily Parker who has finally decided to throw in the towel after 30 years of dedicated service to local factory C&D foods, Edgeworthstown. Not only has lily dedicated her life to working 7 days a week when require but also found the time to sell lotto and raffle tickets for Streete Parish Park over a wide area and always found time to be on hand to help out with in anyway. Lily celebrated her retirement in Feerick’s Hotel last Saturday night surrounded by her family and many great friends. With warmth and kindness, we wish lily the very best in her hard-earned retirement and hope she enjoys the extra hours of rest that herself and Seamus so well deserve.

Deepest sympathies: are expressed to the Ross family, Cloncaugh, on the sad passing of their mother, Bridget, late of Menlough, Co Galway. Bridget passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Christy and her brothers. Deeply missed by her daughters Bridie and Catherine, sons Christopher and Seamus, sisters Una and Mary, son-in-law Davy, daughters-in-law Geraldine and Lisa, grandchildren Chris, Jamie, Emma, Sorcha, Grace, Faith, Dylan, Erin, James and Clodagh, great-grandchildren Freya and Kayden, extended family, and friends. May her gentle soul rest in heavenly peace.

Streete Parish Park Community Centre: We are asking if anyone who has recently come to live in our community or is not already bought a share in our community centre to come forward and fill out a Shareholder application. This is a simple task and offers you a great opportunity to become involved in how this wonderful facility is run now and into the future. Shares are only €100 and allows each household to have a voice and enables you to vote at our AGM. For some it will offer a grounding to our community, for others an opportunity to become involved in future planning and development of our community centre and its parklands. Please contact myself or any committee member. Kevin 087 1375222 Please note, our AGM will take place on Sunday 2nd of March.
